About Us

The ISCMV is non-profit society composed of members from the public, stewardship groups, contractors, academic institutions, nurseries, non-profit organizations and all levels of government working to improve the way invasive species are managed in Metro Vancouver. The society was first incorporated in 2006 as the Greater Vancouver Invasive Plant Council.

ISCMV works closely with land managers and residents throughout the Metro Vancouver region on many invasive species issues.

Board of Directors

The ISCMV Board of Directors provides executive direction to the society. Directors serve for 3-year terms and are elected by our membership at the Annual General Meeting. Directors on the Board represent diverse perspectives and interests.

Staff Team

Tasha holds a B.Sc. (Ecology & Environmental Biology) from Thompson River University and a M.S.T. (Masters of Science in Teaching) from Portland State University.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of our funding and operations partners. The Adanac Fieldhouse is part of the Vancouver Park Board's Fieldhouse Activation Program that provides space in a fieldhouses and access to parks to create activities that engage the community

Regional Committees

The ISCMV is one of many Regional Invasive Species Committees across British Columbia. Though our management area is the smallest geographically, we have over half of British Columbia's population residing within it.
