Community Art Workshop #1: Plant Identification and Collection
April 21, 2021 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm
Join us for the first workshop in the Community Art Plant series. This series will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about local plants, and how to document them in various ways, through a series of three, free, virtual workshops.
In this first workshop, learn how to identify common plants in your neighbourhood (including native, edible, toxic, and invasive plants). We will also cover how to safely collect plants for documentation or craft purposes. This workshop will be presented by Tasha Murray, ISCMV Executive Director.
To register for this workshop, please click here. You will receive an automated message after registration with the link to join the workshop. A reminder message will be sent the day before.
Don't forget to sign up for the other workshops in this series:
Workshop participants and residents will have the opportunity to submit their artwork for publication in a local plant guidebook available in summer 2021 as free online resource available to anyone. Workshops will be recorded and available for online viewing afterwards.
This Project has been supported through the Neighbourhood Matching Fund of the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation.
