Glenbrook Ravine Weed Pull - September 2019

Glenbrook Ravine Weed Pull - September 2019 photo

September 28 from 10AM - 1PM we'll be continuing to remove invasive plants from the restoration site with the amazing and dedicated volunteers from the community, including the New Westminster Environmental Partners. We haven't met since June, when we had a great turnout and got quite a bit of blackberry removed!

Most of the hardest work is done for the year, and we will largely be prepping the site for our native planting day, which will be on October 26. We will be ordering over 300 trees and shrubs this year, so we need all hands on deck to make sure the site gives them the best chance of survival!

If you want to get to know people in your community and to connect with a bit of nature for a couple of hours, or if you just want to know more about this project in general, join us!

This is a family friendly event, and we have ways for people of all ages and abilities to get involved and contribute. The work is not that hard, and refreshment/socialization breaks are welcome and encouraged.

Anyone welcome!
