Burnaby Stewardship photo

Help protect and restore Burnaby's beautiful parks! Volunteers are needed to remove invasive species and plant native trees. Events are free and open to families, youth, and all community members. Participants do not need to be City of Burnaby residents.

No experience necessary. Events are led by experts at the Invasive Species Council of Metro Vancouver who will provide instruction and all required tools and materials.

Events are held the second Saturday of each month in Central Park. Events will also be held at Jim Lorimer Park and Deer Lake Park. 2021 event dates are listed below. Dates and activities will be updated as more infromation is available.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and site limitations, each event has limited space for volunteers and registration is required in advance. For more information, or to register, please contact us here. Your registration will be confirmed. Close to the event date, all registered volunteers will receive a message with the exact meeting location and other important details.
