Burnaby Stewardship
Update: 2024 Burnaby Stewardship Events are now complete. Stay tuned for updates about future stewardship events in Spring 2025.
Help protect and restore Burnaby's beautiful parks! Volunteers are needed to remove invasive species and plant native trees. Events are free and open to families, youth, and all community members. Participants do not need to be City of Burnaby residents.
No experience is necessary. Events are led by experts at the Invasive Species Council of Metro Vancouver who will provide instruction, gloves, all the required tools, and refreshments.
Events are held regularly in Central Park. Events will also be held at Jim Lorimer Park (2338 Gilmore Avenue) and Deer Lake Park.
To register, you will fill in our registration form. Your registration will be confirmed. Close to the event date, all registered volunteers will receive a message with the exact meeting location and other important details. For more information please contact info@iscmv.ca.
We also help to run stewardship events in other locations outside of Burnaby. Check out our events page to find out about other upcoming events. Many other stewardship groups in the region offer invasive species events. Check out the list of active stewardship groups here.
