Wildscaping Our Neighbourhood Society welcomes you to a Forest Clean-up and Restoration!

Event Location: Trans Canada Trail, at the North end of Gilmore Avenue in Burnaby Heights

Event Date and Time: Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m.

Event Details: Wilscaping Our Neighbourhood Society (WON Society) is part of a global movement of people who have realized that restoration work needs to be done. Protecting and promoting biodiversity is one of the most important things you can do to make the world a better place. At this event, you can help restore a part of the forest by removing invasive plants and cleaning up an old dump site. The native plants WON Society has put in here over the last 2 years are coming along nicely. You can see those too. Organizer, Prentice Lee, will give a brief overview of WON Society projects and the plans they are implementing. Come out to volunteer! Do a good thing for yourself, your neighbourhood, and the earth.

Please Bring or Wear: Sturdy footwear, gloves, clippers, loppers, shovels and a healing spirit!

RSVP: Please join the Wildscaping Our Neighbourhood Society Facebook Page where you will receive regular notifications for the events that Prentice Lee creates and you can indicate you are "Going". In addition you can email wonsocietyhq@gmail.com for further questions.
