Free the Fern presents Grow Wild! Weekend, an all ages and ability event celebrating nature. with a variety of activities:

Community Planting Event

When: Sat, October 22, 10am – 12pm

Where: Red Alder Trail, Vancouver

We will begin with a Community Planting Event. Local volunteers will help plant hundreds of native plants at our 4 stewardship sites along the Champlain Heights Trail.

Art Workshops

When: Sun, October 23

Where: 8001 Curate Wynd, Vancouver

Ivy Weaving Workshop 10am-12pm

Workshop led by Free the Fern stewards, Grace Nombrado & Joe Boyd. Learn how to weave a basket out of invasive English Ivy.

Paper Making with Invasive Plants 1-3pm and 3:30-5:30pm

Eco Artist, Joshua Ralph, will lead two workshops on making paper from invasive plants.
