Join NatureKids BC for this fun, free family nature discovery event! Explore the Burnaby Nature House, create your own pressed flower bookmark, and learn to identify local plant species!
Learn from nature mentor, Grace Nombrado! Grace holds a B.A. (English) and B.Ed (Teacher Certification) from Simon Fraser University. In addition to being the Communications Coordinator for ISCMV, Grace is also the founder and President of Free the Fern Stewardship Society in South Vancouver. Prior to 2020, Grace was an Elementary teacher specializing in teaching kids with learning disabilities. Now, she uses her teaching skills to plan stewardship events and workshops.

Explorer Day Etiquette
- Be prepared to HAVE FUN!
- Pre-registration with your Club Leader is required for most Explorer Days (Friends are welcome if space permits).
- Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure enough time for passport stamping and organization.
- Please stay with the Leader and let them know if you are leaving early.
- Children must always be accompanied by an adult guardian, who is responsible for their behaviour.
- Bring appropriate weather gear, sunscreen, snacks, water, and other useful tools like binoculars, sketch books, cameras, and magnifying glasses.
