Himalayan Balsam Pull at Deer Lake - July 2023

Help protect and restore Burnaby's beautiful Deer Lake! Volunteers are needed to remove invasive Himalayan balsam. This event is free and open to families, youth, and all community members. Participants do not need to be City of Burnaby residents.

No experience is necessary. This event will be led by an expert from the Invasive Species Council of Metro Vancouver. Volunteers will be provided with instruction, gloves, tools, and refreshments.

Burnaby Stewardship events are held regularly at Deer Lake. Events will also be held at Jim Lorimer Park (2338 Gilmore Avenue) and Central Park.
